Shopping online? Visa Click to Pay is an online checkout option that can make paying with your Geelong Bank Visa card faster and easier, without needing to enter your card details each time you shop with participating online retailers.
From 30 September 2026, eligible Geelong Bank Visa cards will be automatically enrolled in Click to Pay. There's nothing you need to download, no account you need to create and no sign-up required.
Using Click to Pay is optional. You can continue entering your card details manually when shopping online if you prefer, and you can opt out of the service at any time.
What is Click to Pay?
Click to Pay is a secure online checkout option provided by Visa that allows you to make purchases at participating online retailers without repeatedly entering your card details.
It uses tokenisation and Visa-supported authentication to help protect your card information and make online checkout easier.
How does it work?
When you're shopping online at a participating retailer:
- Look for the Click to Pay icon at checkout.
- Select Click to Pay.
- Enter your email address or mobile number.
- Enter the one-time verification code sent to you.
- Select your Geelong Bank card and complete your payment.
You can use Click to Pay whenever it is offered by participating online retailers.
Is Click to Pay secure?
Click to Pay includes security features designed to help protect your card information during online transactions.
Your card details aren't shared directly with the online retailer. Instead, Click to Pay uses tokenised card credentials to reduce the exposure of your card details during online transactions.
Depending on the transaction, you may also be asked to verify your identity using a one-time code.
Why has my card been enrolled?
Eligible Geelong Bank Visa cards are being automatically enrolled in Click to Pay as part of the rollout of the service. You don't need to sign up or take any action to use Click to Pay.
Do I have to use Click to Pay?
No. Click to Pay is optional. If you prefer, you can continue entering your card details manually when making online purchases.
If you do not wish to use Click to Pay, you can opt out at any time.
How do I opt out?
If you don't want your card enrolled in Click to Pay, you can contact Geelong Bank and we can assist to remove your card from the service. Once your request has been processed, it may take up to 24 hours for the change to take effect.
What if my mobile number or email address is incorrect?
Your email address or mobile number is used to help identify your card and send you a one-time verification code when you use Click to Pay. It's important to make sure your contact details are up to date.
You can update your details through the Geelong Bank App, internet banking or by contacting us. Changes are typically reflected in Click to Pay within 24 hours.
What happens if I get a new or replacement card?
When you receive a new or replacement eligible Visa card, it will generally be enrolled in Click to Pay as part of the card enrolment process.
Is there a fee?
No. There is no additional fee to use Click to Pay. Your usual card fees and charges continue to apply.
Can I manage Click to Pay through the Geelong Bank App or Internet Banking?
Not yet. Self-service Click to Pay management is planned for a future update.
